Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Weekend was really nice, we went down to Harmony, MN. We wanted to explore a cave located in that area called the Niagara Cave. We were actually 225 ft underground. The tour guide is very imformative. It was worth it, I've never been in a cave before. We even got to see total darkness. He turned off the lights and let us soak in the feeling. He mentioned that if you remain in total darkness for too long you actually go blind from it. We also did some vintage shopping while we were there. Above are some pics I took. There's a bar at Harmony called On the Crunchy Side. It's actually good, the food is fresh and tastey. I posted a picture of the Cuban Panini I had and then on our way home we drove through WI and we stopped to eat at Buzzard Billy's Flying Carp Cafe. We only had apettizers and well I was not overly impressed but I did like the Nachos, my hubby ordered a soup and again I was not taken away by it. This was in La Crosse area that we stopped at. If we ever head there again I'd like to check out some other spots to eat at. The ones I found interesting on yelp were closed. I hope everyone out there had a wonderful long weekend too. I know I was dying for one! XO - Diany

1st Year Anniversary
Weekend of May 19-21 we celebrated our 1 year Anniversary. I cannot believe a year has already gone by. I had such a wonderful time. I gave my hubby an IPhone and a sweater, some tea from Teavana, some other goodies. He on the other hand took me to Anthropologie (one of my fave stores) and got me a perfume from there (on clearance from $68 down to $20) it smells soooooooooooo good, called Moulinette Soeurs - Arabelle. They had two other scents to choose from but Arabelle smelled the most Boho-Global to me. He also got me an outfit there. I managed to dig up something Boho at Anthro, that was Thurs. On Sat we went to to Pardon My French for Lunch. We then went to the Mall to get a Pressure Cooker at Macy's, with Mom's Gift Card. He brought me flowers and then took me out to The Capital Grille. Totally LOVED it. The food was incredible, with 5 star service. Here are some pics of the event.

Boho A La Vintage
Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!!!!! I decided to work overtime and get some extra mula, so I'm really happy about that. I still did some vintage shopping though. Nothing can stop me! I got the painted box above. It's a pencil box and I got the wine glasses on the very bottom. They are made in France. Talk about Global Boho Vintage. It's a delicate Boho but non-the-less it's beautiful. The terrarium in the 4th picture is a tad bit hidden in the background behind the glasses, that one was also a good purchase. My hubby found it interesting enough to catch his attention and ask for pricing. So this weekend, I went back for it. I plan to incorporate the terrarium into his home office somehow, since it was something he actually amazingly picked out. As you can see these are some shots from my favorite vintage shops.
Also, I'm trying out instagram and I'm totally loving it!!!!!!!!!!! I know, I know, I'm like really behind here, should have been using instagram long ago. Hope you've enjoyed the pictures. xoxo Diany

Boho Urban...
I ordered these ceramic owl's from Urban Outfitters. They were in back order so I had to patiently wait. I've been trying really hard to incorporate something to do with owl's into my home in some way or another after I went camping one day, (while still living in Miami, FL) and heard an owl in the middle of the night. They sound so beautiful. I mean it's amazing their song in the night. It was very inspiring. But it's hard to find boho owl's really, technically speaking here. Until Urban Outfitters came up with these beautiful owls. I thought they were pricey at first and thought they aught to be somewhat small. So needless to say I was completely surprised by their size! Everyone out there must get a hold of one of these owls, unless you're like me in a way and want them both. www.urbanoutfitters.com
I have incorporated the white owl into my bedroom and it goes there gracefully - the other owl is on the works but from the looks of it I'm going to try my best to fit it into my husbands home office once I start decorating it. I asked him which one he liked most and he picked the blue owl. So in a way, though it's still mine....I'd like it to be around his area...so he thinks it's his...
Decorating a home on a budget is going rather slowly - right now I'm focused on my room, but I must say it is turning out amazing. I totally love the items I'm picking, it's all coming together very tastefully. I'm having a bit of a struggle on the way I'll be decorating the walls. An informal art collection is kinda tough to pull off. Incorporating maybe a tapestry of some kind, I find it challenging, yet I'm really looking forward to it.

THE HUNT
Hi!!!!!!! Hope everyone out there is having a wonderful weekend.
So I totally love vintage shopping, estate sales, garage sales....It's that time to go and hunt for the perfect little items to add to your home. Here I'm posting some of my finds from last week and today's outing.
The first 2 pictures is a painting on cloth of Japanese dancers. The detailing is amazing and I totally love the ethnic feel of it and it definitely covers my global vintage boho style to the max. I found this piece at a vintage shop called The Cottage House (4304 Chicago Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN). I totally loved this shop, I plan to revisit for sure. I'll be posting a few more pictures from the shop so be in the look out for those. They carry a wide selection of things at good prices. Amazing pieces of furniture, some seemed refurbished but so so nicely. Other pieces had very rustic look and they contained a lot of personality. The next two pictures, I got these at an estate sale. They are all pieces from Mexico, I paid $3 for the big one and I got the other 2 carved frames art pieces for $3 not each but actually 2 for only $3. Again, Ethnic boho all the way. No clue if these pieces are vintage though, but they are so pretty. The last picture shows off 2 little pieces I found at another vintage shop, it's a metal candle holder and this cute little glass piece that you put into them. This shop opened up about 3 weeks now and it's called E's Emporium (3911 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN). Another of those shops I was googoo over. Yes, I plan for another visit there too. The little dish you might be eyeing too is from urban outfitters! Only $6 on clearance. The last picture is a bohemian czech glass vase piece I found at a estate sale, paid $12.50 but it's okay considering it's czech glass and that's usually pricey in itself. I can't confirm if it's Moser, but it is Moser style at least.

Ebay in March
Hi There!
So who says you can't find anything Boho in Ebay? I've been online shopping Ebay and have found tons of treasures to share with all of you. Yes Ebay a la Boho!!! Some ideas is to search for items that are vintage inspired. Or items that are from around the world. That way you get that Global Boho Vintage style. All though not all my items are vintage getting a few here and there helps give you a more old style look. And remember mix and match when it comes to Boho and every item must be screaming for attention. Never forget that!
I have yet to fill in these pillow cases. I got them about a day ago. These come all the way from India. Very Boho as you can see. I'm looking foward to filling these in. They were pretty cheap less than $20 dollars each. More items from India available @ rachanacreations23.
Chinese Vintage Cloisonne Vase. Yes TALK about GLOBAL BOHO VINTAGE! All In 1. More like these to choose from at oktibet 's shop in Ebay.
Here's a small mirror I found. Hand painted and Vintage. Not much information other than that. But based on design it looked pretty Boho to me so I got hooked.
Now lets talk Moser. There is something called Bohemian Czech Glass. Yes, the word Boho is in it, it's a give away. I discovered there's history behind Czech Glass. A glass artist called Moser. His peaces sell pretty pricey but you might get lucky and grab something for under $100. And then there's still other Bohemian Czech Glass worth collecting. A similar style to that of Moser himself. It's a nice Vintage Boho trend to look at and collect items of this sort to spread around the home. And more so since its Czech Glass which also covers the Global side of the spectrum. Remember, Bohemians were gypsies and they traveled and bought things from the many places they went to. If you can't travel much at least via online is a way to cover your ground.
Last but not least......This is a Moser Tea Caddy I got for less than $100. Talk about AWESOME Purchase!!!
Hope you enjoyed my Ebay in the month of March. Hope this helps inspire you towards a more Bohemian lifestyle.
